Why Nursception

The world through the eyes of a Nurse.

"When you are a nurse you
know that every day you
will touch a life or a life will
touch yours."

~Anonymous

I am an avid fan of the nursing career. And now that I’ve gone through its rocky, rough and rugged bachelor’s course, I have come to realize my role in life as a graduate of such degree. Below is a glimpse of this purpose which is towards taking care of these individuals who live to care.

The different intentions of the website coined from the words Nurse and the the suffix –ception are as follows…

1.
      Nurse INception

Ever watched the movie Inception led by Leonardo Dicaprio? This famous film inspired my blog’s name. Now journey with me as we delve into the few dictionary definitions of inception…
a.       Origination. Yes, one of the definitions of inception is that it pertains to a beginning, a pioneer of something substantial. So of course, before I had to publish the blog, I made sure it was original and catchy. This actually is one of my biggest goals in starting off as a simple blog, to write articles (and soon the website) about the mysteries of the world and how nurses can equally benefit while serving and being surrounded by these rarities.
b.      University entrance. Scratching my head too. Inception may also mean entering a new phase in education…which could still be related to my blog. This is so because I basically want this site to be a useful if not necessary tool for nurses who are studying in college, for a licensure exam, master’s degree, or those who love to learn and practice this honorable vocation.
c.       Taking in. The longer phrase for that is “the action of taking in as an organism”. Nursception is geared towards making nurses assume their role as a nurse wherever they are and to accept their needed responsibility of nursing acts in all walks of life, related or far from their original profession. I always believe studying nursing is studying how to be a better more caring person for others. That brings us to Nursception being all about nursing fellow nurses.
d.      Conception + Extraction = Insertion. This is the new meaning of inception as adapted in the movie of Leonardo. To quote, inception means, “the planting of an idea; the introduction (perhaps superstitious) of an idea from an outside source”. Yes, soon when my articles are published, nurse readers will get to understand and meditate the weight of their role in the planet they are assigned to fulfill their duty for.

2.      Nurse PERception

After spending hundreds of hours learning and studying about human health processes, how a nurse looks at the world can be fairly different from other civilians. Individuals who were able to undergo similar science courses can also relate to the information the website can contain. But of course, I will try my best to use terms in simple layman explanations. A nurse’s perception of the world is actually the basis of our tagline there on top!

3.
      Nurse REception

Similar with inception, reception also has definitions that are more than one. These are as follows:
a.       ..the action or process of receiving something sent or givenYes, what you and I will learn from this website will come from research, surveys, and recent events. These will be in forms of interesting and informative articles, diagrams, and drawings.
b.      ..the way in which a person or group of people reacts to somethingI desire the site to be positively interactive for nurses; maybe not towards a social media site, but as a reference where discussions and comments are welcome. Thanks initially for Blogspot having this valuable feature!

In a nut shell, Nursception is aimed towards making nurses (and interested readers) raise the value of the nursing role regardless of current career. And this will be through the power of information. I will go and end this entry with the saying: Once a nurse, always a nurse.
